Energypedia aims at a better integration of expert knowledge in order to support a knowledge transfer: functioning approaches to rural electrification are documented and can be discussed and further developed with relevant actors coming from the partner governments, the civil society, the private industry and energy experts. Furthermore, separate areas in the wiki can be used as trans-regional working platform for knowledge and project management.
In May 2010 Energypedia received the GTZ quality award. This success is underlined by the growing number of users: In March 2011 987 experts are registered in the Wiki. Many of them submitted articles and changed content, thus creating 547 wiki pages about technologies and country information used in EnDev.
