It is possible to copy content form other wikis, for example Wikipedia, to the energypedia wiki by following these steps:
- Go to the external wiki article that you want to copy content from.
- Mark and copy the wiki text (not the editor text!).
- Go to your energypedia article and activate "Wikitext" in the editor. Then paste the passage from the external wiki article in yours.
choose "Wikitext" to paste your wikitext-code from WIKIPEDIA
This procedure has two limitations:
- Pictures and documents will not be transferred. These have to be uploaded separately on energypedia.
- Copying a large page might cause errors. It is therefore recommended to copy long pages in several steps or to splitt them into smaller pages.
