A wiki is a perfect way to organize and coordinate all kind of meetings, workshops, workflows etc. Below you find some selected examples of what you can do on energypedia.
GIZ Micro Hydro Power Meeting 2011
This event was planned via Energypedia from the beginning onwards. All aspects of a meeting such as registration and programme were dealt with in Energypedia. This approach was in particular suitable, since a part of the organisation team was in the headquarter in Eschborn whereas the other part was already working in Ruanda. By using Energypedia, all organisational questions, for instance work schedules, were handled most effectively, without loosing time because of sending around documents via Email.
Also during the meeting itself Energypedia was used intensively: the participants wrote the results of their meetings directly on Energypedia - and even a colleague from KfW sitting in Frankfurt was able to give input to ongoing discussions via Energypedia!
Now, the results are accessible via Energypedia giving an overview of the work during the meeting.
Symposium on Poverty-oriented Basic Energy Services
All presentations given during the symposium and related interesting documents were made accessible the very same day via Energypedia. Consequently, every participant and other interested Energypedia users were able to access the information promtly. Besides, the organisational team did not have to send around Emails containing tons of bytes after the symposium.
Pico-PV Database
Just recently, Energising Development moved its traditional database (Excel) of Pico-PV sets to Energypedia. From now onwards, Energypedia users can share their knowledge of certain PV-sets with the Energypedia community via the Pico-PV Database. As a special service, this database offers to run special queries on the dataset; i.e. if a project is interested in a particular battery type or in a special span of costs for PV sets, this inquiry is easily answered by this service.
