Wiki Data - General Data Backup
Data backup is indispensible, in particular in the case of wikis which contents are changed almost every day. We take care that your data are saved automatically, so that they are not lost if the worst comes to the worst. The energypedia server is secured by a double backup system, which guarantees that in case of a severe breakdown of the energypedia server a full data backup of the previous day can be re-launched.
The content of any internal workspace are available in the wiki text format for all users and the owner of a internal workspace. Therefore, exporting the whole content is possible at any time. Furthermore, an extended data export from the platform will be provided in the unlikely case that energypedia together with all workspaces has to be closed. This export consists of all created pages and their content in the form of a MediaWiki database. Given the open source character of the MediaWiki software on which energypedia is based on, the exported wiki content can be continiously used by the wiki workspace owner after a own installation of MediaWiki.
